║ SFRESET v1.0 Message <SENT> Flag Resetter ║
║ Copyright(C) 1995 by Kevin Cummins ║
║ Crimson Cross BBS (618)253-3608 USR Dual 28.8 ║
╙───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────╜
Brief Description:
──────────────────╜
SFRESET resets the <SENT> flag on any number of message conferences
for the Spitfire BBS. Mail Tossers/Scanners that rely on the <SENT>
flag can then either re-toss, or re-scan the message base. The flag
can be set to either Sent, or Not Sent, depending on the Sysop's
needs. SFRESET can count backwards X number of days, or X number of
messages.
Execution:
──────────╜
Place SFRESET.EXE anywhere in your Dos path. SFRESET will look for
the environment variable SFPATH= to find your Spitfire files, and
will complain if it can't find such.
SFRESET is executed by simply typing SFRESET on the command line
followed by exactly three parameters, which are described below.
Command Line Parameters:
────────────────────────╜
/DAYS= Example: /DAYS=30
/MSGS= Example: /MSGS=200
/AREAS= Example: /AREAS=1 /AREAS=10..200
/S+ or /S- /S+ tells SFRESET to change flags to <SENT>
/S- tells SFRESET to change flags to <NOT SENT>
SFRESET requires EXACTLY three of the above, or it will tell you
so! You can NOT use the /DAYS and /MSGS on the same command line!
Areas can be specified in multiple fashion or singly as per the
examples above.
The /MSGS=200 would set the LAST 200 msgs in all specified
conferences to however you have /S.
The /DAYS=30 would set any messages in specified confs that have a
date within 30 days of today's date to however you have /S.
Examples:
─────────╜
SFRESET /S+ /DAYS=90 /AREAS=10..20 Messages less than 90 days
old will be reset to
<SENT>, in areas 10 thru 20
SFRESET /S- /MSGS=100 /AREAS=27 The last 100 messages in
area 27 will be reset to
<NOT SENT>
SFRESET /S- /AREAS=3..99 /DAYS=45 Messages less than 45 days
old will be reset to <NOT
SENT> in areas 3 thru 99
SFRESET /S+ /AREAS=7 ERROR! SFRESET will abort
if 3 command line switches
are not found.
